Sushi Temple

This is the result of our hard work.

The Dish

We did a package for 10 pieces of sushi. 4 salmon maki, 2 crabbfish maki, 3 lax nigri, 1 crabfish nigri.

The Brand

Take Mikado is a well known restaurant in Östersund. They deliver food with high quality. Take Mikado is our client and we did a package for the famous sushi.

Target group and strategy

Our target group is working men and woman. People who are in a hurry but still wants a good lunch or dinner. We made the package easy to eat from. You can be on your way to work or out on a picknick, you can even eat the sushi in front of the tv without spilling on your couch. We wanted the package to feel and look exclusive and still be functional.

The Scenario

In store you will find the sushi in its own refrigerator. We want the package to be seen alone, we think it gets a more exclusive feeling when it stands alone. If you want to you can either save the package or you can recycle it.

The Package and design

We where inpired by cherry blossoms and the architecture of the bhuddist temples. We wanted to make a culture package with the feeling Japan. We wanted the cosumer to feel like it was sushi bought in Japan. We have two layers of sushi with five pieces of sushi on each layer. You also get wasabi, ginger, a broshure and a napkid in the package. The graphic design is cherry blossoms and the pckage is black and glossy to add the exclusive feeling.

In our Ad we wanted to connect Östersund and Japan. The ad say "Japanese warmth shines in our dark woods. traditional, fresh sushi from Östersund". Down in the right corner we have Take Mikados logo.
